Hello all ... I'm new to GPS..but not so new to Ham Radio. My callsign 9W2FSL..passed the RAE last 2 years..but not been so active. Hopefull my new interest in GPS would help me refresh the "Ham" in me.
Anyway, the term Amateur actually refers to the spectrum (frequency) band that Ham radio operates. The word amateur is chosen as the freq has not been designated for other usage. In fact, amateur radio application is kind of advance.
Plan to be active again.
