MFM Polygon Standardization Discussion
What I will do when I am finally back at KL is to post the list of polygon types currently used. We will proceed from there on to discuss new types and color of polygons that can make our maps prettier.
Re: MFM polygon project
Bro OngCC had earlier posted this list of polygon, polyline & POI types we are using:
Garmin nüvi 2575R; Garmin eTrex Vista HCx; Android 5.0.1 Phone

Bro kalam, you need to toggle the View... View Google Maps in GPSMapedit. Then you should be able to see the reference.
Also, you need to go and download the MFM Mapping Reference.txt based on bro antyong link above. Next, in GPSMapEdit, click on View... Manage Map Skins... and add in the MFM Mapping Reference.txt so you can use it in your polygons!
Happy Polygon Mapping!!

University/College (0xa, polygon) aka school
Shopping center (0x8, polygon) aka shop lots
Building/Man-made area (0x13, polygon) aka govt buildings ( 0x12, polygon )
Unknown (0x10, polygon) aka houses
Unknown (0x11, polygon) aka apartments/condo
City park (0x17, polygon)
Parking lot (0x5, polygon)
Basically, I copy and paste from F-KL the 0x10 and 0x11. Others are available in gpsmapedit. Anything else I need to do on settings in gpsmapedit?
Bro,
So far Ok.
Use 0x12, polygon for Govt office/buildings. The rest, please use as per KL maps until responds from Bro Antyong.
Regards.
What should i use for Beach?
