I have just found some polygons I have drawn and submitted in MSM v3.xx maps.

How I identify them? Well, I version each contribution submission and the polygons found in MSM maps are the exact shape and positioned, not to mention the shattering of polygons for the particular area I am working on (Serangoon North, Hougang, Buangkok in Singapore).

What puzzled me is the polygons I drawn are submitted in .mp format direct to MFM mappers. How did MSM managed to copy them out?

They just need to download the latest MFM map and copy the IMG file.
As easy as ABC..

May be we need to lock the DATA.

Lock data/map ? Aiyah ... then, mfm will same as M$M. Also, locked maps are easily 'unlocked' by certain tools. So, nothing we can do, execpt See you in court :)

Data? With MapSource, previously I can browse, select and view MSM 2.30 maps without any problem. So, even the data is being locked (?), but there still ways to see/view the map. Mmm.. or I just got it wrong ... mmm

When a person in clear mind takes what that does not belong to him/her the penalty is clear. That person will have to carry the extra load on his/her shoulders no matter what good the intention is. This is a miss guided person.

I will continue contribute to this site, knowing it is not possible to protect the contents and I know the MFM rule - not locking the maps. I'll not loose a night sleep over it.

Personally, they can copy but all of us will always know.

If I were their friends, associates, employers or employees... I'll be quite worry of this person ethics.

Finnis corronat opus.
