Hi top_cat87,

Thanks for your further feedback. I will forward them to the engineering team for their consideration. As a matter of fact, we have been receiving good feedback from customers like you.

Team Galactio

That feature is actually to serve as a convenience for user to select the destination quickly, instead of going back to the menu and then select the destination.

As there is no scale feature available on the system, you might want to adjust the zooming to reach your preference with the autozoom being off.

Team Galactio

thanks for you reply. i have another question: how do i specify to avoid a certain road i.e.causeway

i tink implementing showing the zoom level and scale at a corner would be a good idea.
also maybe you could have an option for whether or not to show the "please set destination" on the navi screen. the navi screen is way too cluttered as it is

Hi top_cat87,

We do not have a specific avoidance of certain road. We do have a detour feature which works to avoid roads ahead of you in case of road condition that is not conducive to driving.

hi jaykok,

After you upgraded to V8.8.9, the previous map will not work well with the new version.
Hence please download the latest map from

Hi mecekho,

You are not able to change the comport as that is fixed for the model that you are using.

Hi alxx51,

We apologised for the delay as the AES speed trap camera data is being placed in for the latest map release. The map should be ready by next week for download.

any way to transfer favourites from garmin or papago into galactio's user.db? :-?

its damn tedious to transfer tons of favourites built up over the years by entering gps coordinates manually into galactio. :nutz:

I made a copy of the SD card and upgraded it with the latest version of the map using the downloaded updater however when i installed the SD card back into the GPS unit, it requires a new license to be entered for a specified Device ID. Did I make any mistake and do I need to apply for a new license or should I just update the original SD card?
