I remember that the Maps download for Malaysia is like 300mb++.

But Sygic is a good GPS. Papago X5 doesn't support landscape mode. For me, Sygic is the best by far.

The only thing that upset me is that some of the roads from their map is not up to date. I almost ran over a barrier last week by depending too much on it. ](*,)

Nope - the Malaysian map itself is only ard 36MB, the rest are supporting files and base maps.

Sygic has a nice UI and has options that are missing from Papago (like choosing a different starting point) but the outdated and incomplete maps cant compare with the detailed maps and POIs of the MFM maps available for Papago. For Singapore and Malaysia i guess i will stay with Papago but for overseas, there may be no choice

Although I have used Sygic only a couple of times in Spore, compared to Papago X5, I feel Sygic has a better algorithm for routing; also the voice alerts are easier to understand. Hopefully Papago X8 is a big improvement over X5.

Hello everyone,

I'm a complete 100% newbie with a Galaxy Tab Froyo2.2. My Sygic 7-Day Trial will expire soon and I'm considering getting the full version.

However, when I checked the Sygic.com website, it says 13.99 Euros for Msian/Spore map. Some users in this forum mentioned prices that are much lower. Am I missing something here?

Thanks so much

Wink

The Euro9.99 was a promo price; it is now Euro13.99.

For quickest answer
1. Sygic 8.24 - You can refer back to Sygic Company to get malaysian maps
2. Navitel 5.0.0.1069 - You can refer back to Navitel Company to get malaysian maps.

Here we produce for Papago, Garmin and Galactio Unit map.

I tried Sygic for 2 days in Penang (where I live).

Couldn't get me to work (5km drive) and back.

There were inaccuracies in the map (asked me to use non-existing roads or non-car roads).

The routing was also so poor where it asked me to u-turn even though the correct choice was go straight.

I dont trust this software or map.
