the problem is not cos by maps, it is your garmin program that cos problem.

Padang Besar map.

Hai there,...

I'm using nuvi 765 and install malfree latest map on my device. Three days ago I.m travel to Padang Besar, Perlis....sudently no road map on that area. I try to browse map...also no road map on that area. Anyone had same problem...?
Plz help....

I can see Padang Besar on my 765 and also on Mapsource.

Can you do a screen shot and post here.

You must've installed and enabled another map which is overlapping the MFM map, and I'd guess it's the Thailand Street Map. If my guess is right, just disable the other map at Tools > Settings > Map > Map Info.

Yes...I also already check map in mapsource....that padang besar road map is ok. Only in my nuvi it's was not there. I attach some pic here. Sorry if the pic is not that clear. For info....i dont have any other map. Only Malfree anf MSM. One thing I notice....if i swith to MSM map...still padang besar at the same area dont have road map.

Are you sure? Can you list out all maps listed at Map Info (maybe you did not scroll down at the list for more maps)? Looking at your Nuvi screen shots, the area where the roads do not appear is consistent with the area and outline of the Thailand StreetMap (pls refer image below). Now it certainly looks like this map is installed and enabled in your Nuvi. :-k

Map that i have in my nuvi as what is listed in map info is;

3D landmark
(1) City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2009 3D
Thailand v9.0 EN (No Pain)

Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2010.20
(1) MSM

MFM-Garmin 100913
(1) Malfreemaps.com

Mfm Poi 100913
(1) Malfreemaps.com

Mfm Poi 100913
(1) Malfreemaps.com

I actually copy exactly what is lisedt in my map info.

I already try check and uncheck all map that i have in my device..still padang besar road map not there...

You need to untick all maps except the 3 MFM maps. If the first listed maps do not have a check box beside it, then it must be using GMAPOEM.IMG name in Nuvi:\Garmin folder (you need to rename this file or remove it completely since it's apparent that the map is an illegit map).

BTW, the highlighted map is the map I was referring to earlier.

Yes...it's work. I delete the gmapoem.img in garmin folder and i can see the padang besar road now.....
Fuh......Thank's very much bro..... :thumbsup:
From now I can balik kg. aloq setar with smile even straight up to padang besar.
Anyway.....can i put other country map using this gmapoem.img..?

You're welcome.

As for using GMAPOEM.IMG file name in \Garmin folder, it's not advisable for most maps, because the installed map may not be disabled at Map Info.
