Why you afraid to try this beta map?
We need your testing and feedback if there is any. This is the only way (feedback -> improve -> feedback -> improve -> .......) for us to improve and produce good quality map.
yes i agree with your point....but my parents are using it 90% of the time...and i dont want them to panic tengah jalan...if i use it, then sure will test and give feedback
anyway, this weekend i'll try to put in d new maps and use it for a while...
hi bro powerleakin'
don't mind if i tumpang yr thread ye...
actually you can still test it - i also gave a unit (althought not papago) to my dad telling him it's high-tech gadget but low-tech usage and low tech maintenance - when said like that - of course cannot ask him to test to see data betul or not or that the map data need testing!!! however i did switch on the 1-sec tracklog without him knowing it and then i tell him to give me any feedback on the machine including whether it is really easy to use, anything he couldn't get, whether the machine is not performing up to spec, etc, etc. it worked. to a certain extent. so when i update the maps for him, i download the tracklog, check against the map in mapsource, noting any anomalies , compiling all the feedbacks he gave me on whether the unit is good , etc, etc and also noting down any new POIs not on the map to feedback to mfm. :-)
feedback that my dad said - like he went to certain places and he said the route took him somewhere else, etc, i'd try to get as many details as possible without seemingly questioning him and then i try to simulate the route on mapsource and whether i can simulate the problem or not on mapsource, i still provide as much feedback as possible to mfm.
it's just a suggestion, it may or may not work for you.
