OK, stake your claim. Whoever interested, tell me which city you intend to do.

I stay in Kuching. I do travel to other places in Sarawak from time to time. I have my roads in shapefile which I mainly use with ArcView/ArcGIS. Once we have decided who is the mapper. I can email whatever I can contribute to the mapper and hopefully many others will follow. Then we can see which area in Kuching needs more tracking to be done.

Just wonder whether BernGPS will be interested to be the mapeditor for Sarawak. If he agrees, then it should not be difficult for him since he has been all this while doing Sarawak map for MSM. Noticed that he has not done any posting in this forum. I guess probably "alyem" is right about BrnGPS that he has been very busy lately. Not sure if he were also to do Sarawak map for MFM, will it be seen as conflict of interest and cause problem for him in MSM.

Any more volunteers for Sarawak map?

BernGPS was not invited to MFM. Else we would have Sarawak and Sabah map. So we will have to find another mapper for Sarawak :)

Just wonder how long will it take for an old cow like me to learn GPSMapEdit. Is that the only software one need to learn to be a mapper or need other skills or need to also master other software? If really nobody else, I really don't mind giving a try but how come haven't heard anybody else interested. I cannot believe I am the only member from Sarawak in this forum.

Hope you don't mind me asking this silly question. What does it mean that "he" was not invited to MFM. I thought he is a Valued Contributor? :-k

Sarawak, Sabah and Brunai (Borneo) is big tile.

1. I Suggest cut to district sizes. In this way, we build it faster and more easy.

2. we also can do like our polygon project let who's interested to claim cities and main road.

Most important part we always can start with GE trace out road first. In this way we just need some track only (alignment the off set of GE image).

Hope more new mapper will born in this way. MFM grow territory Biger. =P~ :peace: :rox:
