I loaded the below tiles into my device via mapsource
Brunei-Rv1.7 by Envincem & BernGPS Malsingmaps 1.19 MB
Free EPM v2.34 by Antyong/Sunn Malfreemapsv1.03 2.27 MB
Free KL/S'gor v5.38 by Antyong, Sunn Malfreemapsv1.03 7.92 MB
Johor-R v2.66 Jerome Wee Malsingmaps 3.29 MB
MFM NPM v2.26 by OngCC Malfreemapsv1.03 3.97 MB
MFM PRK v3.45 by OngCC Malfreemapsv1.03 2.80 MB
MNS-R v4.28 wsian Malsingmaps 1.76 MB
S'pore-R v3.74 Jerome Wee Malsingmaps 2.77 MB
Sabah-Rv3.23 by BernGPS Malsingmaps 2.52 MB
Sarawak-R 3.22 by BernGPS Malsingmaps 3.46 MB

then I used gmaptool to join these maps with the gmapsupp.img from my device.

Malfreemaps POI Malfreemapsv1.03 328 KB
MySin Road Pois v2.30
Borneo Road Pois v2.30

So, that's it. If I don't select any country, sabah and sarawak, borneo searches are fine. If I select Malaysia, it can't, and if I select Brunei, it only gives me 2 states to choose from.

:tq: I try on 205, it works even with the additional postal code search

I manage to join the maps using the recommended method, All mapsets created when i try to stimulate a route eg, Singapore to Penang or any part of KL the route cannot be calculated, however if i create a route from Singapore to Mersing the route can be completed.

I'm using a Colorado.

Bro,

With the new re-alignment of the map tiles boundary combining MFM & MSM is not possible as the intersecting route will not match. Depending on your device you can load both maps into it and select which one to use. Most members here know the good and weakness of these maps to select the most appropriate tile to route... #-o ... Hope this helps... cheers!

Bro Moey,

I am going up to KL and just loaded in MFM1.16 and MSM2.30 into my GMXT WM \Garmin folder. MSM is named "gmapsupp.img" and MFM named "gmapsup2.img". When I select ONLY MSM mapsets, I get the detailed map. However when I select ONLY MFM mapsets, the map has no details (probably it is the Base map that I'm seeing). So, it appears that on GMXT WM, MFM and MSM cannot even co-exist. Can this be right? Or is there something with my GMXT or incorrect file naming?

Yes i can confirm that MSM 2.30 & MFM 1.16 cant co-exist using the diff img file name gmapsupp & gmapsup2 in MXT. Whatever your turn off in the mapsetting i wont be able to do address search & will see the base map kind of thing. So what i do is whenever not using MSM (right now most of the time using MFM coz got latest update  ) i rename the gmapsup2.img (which is MSM 2.30) to gmapsup2.im.

Have you tried naming the two maps the other way round ie. MFM using Gmapprom and MSM Gmapsupp? I think the filename do carries some priorities. There is also a filename that I think will be dominant Gmapeom. Give it a try and let us know. ...Have a great weekend... cheers!

Ok tested, even rename MFM to gmapprom & MSM gmapsupp still fail to search address.

I tried too. While I have no problems with Address and POI searches, I could not see MFM when selected.

This confirmed my findings too. Only the NPM map with a new MapID is shown when installed together with MSM maps. All others including KL and Perak will be 'overide' with MSM maps. However Post Code, POIs and Address search is fine...cheers!
