I have installed the latest version of MFM, V1.15, do I need still to do this step? TIA

You don't have to if you don't intend to change the map from "Full custimization" to "Original Road" or vice versa. :D

This tool is only useful to those Bros who would like to create gmapsupp.img with Original Road Customization display setting from MapSource (assuming Full Customization has been selected during installation of MFM mapset to MapSource). If your personal preference of display setting on your GPS device is Full Customization, then you do not need this tool, just transfer the maps from MapSource to your device directly.
