Bro tympg  =D> =D> =D> =D>

I try a routing on mapsource, stating a point from Ipoh to Penang International Airport parking, select using faster time, it will take the Penang Bridge, whereas under shorter distance (diffrence by 5km) is route through Penang 2nd Bridge. :-?

Correct.

  • Route from Perak to Penang Airport: Use 1st Bridge.
  • Route from Perak to Batu Maung / Bayan Lepas FIZ 3 & 4: Use 2nd Bridge.
  • Route from Perak to anywhere else in Penang island: Use 1st Bridge.

2nd Bridge is not really optimised for access to Penang Airport from the mainland (because not enough major roads between the Route 3113 coastal road and Route 6, and also it's an industrial area), so too many obstacles.

BTW, it's not a good idea to arrive in Penang island via P2B between 5.00pm and 7.30pm, Mon-Fri: Terrible rush-hour traffic. Unless your destination is Batu Maung village.
