My suggestion....don't buy this software. Not only updated map not yet supported, lousy route calculation, customer support also 'teruk'....

Papago X5 for Windows Mobile

Dear members!
Papago x5 need a new registration after I upgraded my ROM on the PDA (Dopod D810) from WM6.1 to WM6.5. This occurs because the IMEI on my PDA has been changed. I have contacted the software provider to get a new registration number but no response. Anyone who can help me to revive my PapagoX5? I need your help ....

How to Reduce (or Increase) Volume for Papago! X5 for WM

I just installed Papago! X5 for WM on my SE Xperia X1 with custom WM 6.5.3 rom and I was a bit uncomfortable when I found out that Papago! X5 for WM does not have the menu/function for reducing or increasing the volume. The output sound was loud especially when navigating during night time. So I did a work around to overcome the loudness.

The idea came from a program called mp3gain (and many other softwares) that let you control the gain or the volume of an mp3 file. Unfortunately I cannot find a good program that can control the gain of wav file.

I prefer mp3gain because it's free and does the job very well. However mp3gain only works on mp3 files but Papago! uses wav format. So we need to convert the Papago! wav format to mp3, control the gain with mp3gain and convert back the mp3 to wav. Here's the steps:

1. Install wav to mp3 converter and mp3 gain (attached)
2. Copy the Sounds folder (in the Navi folder) to your desktop
3. Convert the wav files to mp3 using the converter
4. Choose your desired gain (volume) using mp3gain
5. Convert back the mp3 files to wav
6. put back the Sounds folder with the new wav files to its original location (under navi folder)\
7. Run Papago and see the results.
