PAPAGO! GPS Navigation SG&MY on sale till 6 May

Postby jaycelou » Mon Apr 29, 2013 10:09 am

Hi
PAPAGO! GPS Navigation SG&MY, the latest navigation app for Android are now on sale at Play Store till 6th May for US$14.99.

I'm quite interested on this but it still puzzle me about its quality as many user still complain on it stability.

Another question is about maps update. Did the latest map update compatible with this version of app?

This looks like x7 to me "Please make a copy of NaviM11SGMY/SAVE/PPGPOIX7.DAT before updating map data.". We only have x8 and above map... hope this is compatible to our map.

Else, this is a value for money product. I recall that the license is tied to the phone only. If you change phone you have to buy another license for your new phone.

x7? Really? That is two version older than the M9 (if M9 is x9)! What the hell Papago is selling old version at Play Store, not the latest?

Isn't this the M11 that is compatible with Papago MFM maps? At below S$20, it is a good buy and I am tempted. But it should be freely transferable from one Android to another Android device under the same GMail account; if not, it is a deal breaker for me.

All the apps that I have bought from PlayStore are transferable (based on gMail address) and usable over multiple devices. So I think I will purchase this Papago M11

I just bought it for S$18.50 and initially installed into my Nexus 4 and ran it successfully. Downloading the maps (about 360MB) via WiFi took a while. The maps included are very old - May 2012 - so I immediately updated to the latest MFM maps.

I also successfully installed into my Nexus 7 tablet.

Its a good buy at S$18.50 - particularly as it can be installed into multiple devices.

I think it will be more appropriate to table additional comments in the M11 thread.
