jchoong wrote:Sygic is a relatively inexpensive GPS software for Android (also for iphone). I just purchased online the GPS software and Spore/Msia map for Euro 9.99. I have used the 7 day trial version and found it to be very good - more powerful than the more expensive and Chinese-centric Papago X5. The maps that come with it are very good as well (certainly not as detailed and uptodate as MFM), and has postal code search for Spore. Sygic is also more global than Papago. Now, if only MFM can be compiled to be compatible for use with Sygic; any chance of a collaboration - similar to Papago?

So Android owners - this is another alternative to Papago X5.

Where do you buy online ?

Cruiser, congrats on getting the GS2 - its a hit here in Spore since the launch last weekend. I was thinking of getting one too but then held back - apart from the bigger screen and lower weight, it is not much better than my LG O2x. Also, 4G will be launched in Spore soon, so might as well wait a while and get a 4G device.

How much are the Singapore and Malaysia maps? I just downloaded the demo maps. There are no price indications on the download page. Also, Singapore and Malaysia maps are separate entries so are they bundled together or charged separately? Thks

Yes, i was already suspicious that the Malaysia map is only ard 35MB - seems like the coverage is very bad and limited to just the big cities. Guess i may just let the trial period expire on this app

That is surely awesome when the 4G sets in JC.

I'm facing a new discovery here... accessories are hard to come by for the GS2... so I'm again on a pre-order for the cockpit cradle.

I'm setting aside my Jawbones for this GS2 won't transmit any other audio through but cell calls only. Made an immediate order from UK for the Plantronics 603, stereo & BT and very good reviews indeed.
I won't use the maps from a smartphone even though I have 3G access subscribed for 2 years, the Garmins will do a better job actually.
