Sygic has excellent aftersales service. Since I purchased my Sygic, I have changed my hp 3 times (once due to change in motherboard that changes the IMEI) and have no problems getting a replacement activation code from them. Papago don't measure up well in this regard!

Here is my pricing comparison for both for Android (26 June 2012):
PPG: RM 129.00
Sygic: Euro 9.99 + Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore map Euro 23.99 = 33.98 (RM 135.779)

In term of pricing, PPG is obviously cheaper, in addition, PPG is much "local" compare to Sygic and map update are more comprehensive.

It is nice to see all those 3D things, but what is the point when the map is not updated & point you to no where? If you're familiar with those places then you don't even need to look at the GPS screen itself.

If Sygic wanna to be successful then they should partner with MFM.

I paid only Euro 9.99 and got both the app as well as the maps for SG and MY. It was a promotional price.

Edit: On Sygic site, the SG/MY package is listed at Euro23.99 - it includes the apk and maps.

Thanks for the info.
Sygic is famous internationally but SEA isn't that popular. The next question would be how detail and how often Sygic update MY maps. As we know MY road can be messy and "amended" all the time with compare to SG road.
Have you use it in MY? How good is it?

for me, sygic is one bloody good software, if not because of its infrequent maps update, I will still continue using it. I am using Papago right now

Navigate anywhere, even without an internet connection. Our navigation with offline maps always works, even when there is no internet connection, so you can rely on Sygic GPS Navigation to guide you to your destination.
