Postby cflai » Thu Dec 17, 2009 10:46 pm

Hi

Have just returned from a 2 week trip by 4X4 to Maesai, Thailand from Seremban, Malaysia.

Would like to submit a complete set tracks and POIs in .rar format.

Tracks were done with a Garmin GPSMAP60Csx in 1 sec mode with Lock-on-road=OFF.

Hope can be useful to you guys....

Regards

Bro

Here are the 1 sec. tracks taken from the NUVI 265TW, subsequently converted to *.gpx files, consolidated in Mapsource, saved as *.gdb files and compressed into *.rar with a few more POIs added.....

I may be mistaken, but I am told during the last Melaka GG that the 1 sec tracks in the Nuvi are independant of the maps in the machine so is not worried about lock-on-road or off road....

Hi Bro Yin

That was a very interesting trip you did. Thanks for sharing. Surprised you did 100-120kph on your own and did not get napped by the traffic police...:) I was napped 2 times on 2 separate trips doing 110kph, both times got away by not speaking a word of Thai.

Thanks for sharing the trip on your blogsite!

The tracks to Chiangrai were very good !

Had a look at the latest downloaded MFM map, the Thailand section had a lot of POIs - besides PTT stations, noticed plenty of Heath Centres..
