1. Terung / Terong / Trong Waterfall (N4.69302 E100.75587)

Terong is a small sleeping town 17km off Taiping. The town also known as Trong and Terung. Hectic life is merely non-existent, as time passes indefinitely slow in this town which mainly produces charcoal. Other attractions are mangrove swamp fishing activities and friendly people. A beautiful jewel, Terung Waterfall is hiding in this small town.

Don’t have any clear signboard from the main road. Only a signboard stated water treatment station. Maybe because lack of info, not many tourist know about the waterfall. Just follow the road all the way in. You’ll come to a Y junction, just stick to the right, while the left will lead you to the water treatment station. The road will become narrower once you go further in. End of the road is a small car park. There’s a staircase on left and trail on right. The trail on right is leading to somewhere (maybe to upper stream), while the staircase is down to the Terung fall. Be careful when walking down to staircase, as some part of the staircase is slanted or destroyed. The powerful Terung Fall is just down there. A water pipe had been built, looks like here is a water catchment area. We have not much time to explore the upper stream cause the day start to drizzle.

The local are prefer to have their own sweet time at the lower stream, we don’t see any local at the fall during the visiting.

really feel 'chuan' after climbing up the staircase back to car park... #-o

locals are prefer playing at the lower stream (sorry guys, no bikini girl here, only man with 1 pad belly... )

the super crystal clear water - you can see the rocks clearly lay at the base

the fall should be here.

That would be nice indeed. Especially if it's a day trip from Klang Valley. Then I can go visit often.

2. Takah Pandan (N2.43591 E103.24052)

location : endau rompin national park - selai, johor, malaysia
elevation : 198m
height : +/- 50m
access : 4wd recommended, jungle trekking
distance : +/- 1km from lubok tapah campsite (less than 1 hour trekking for me)
guide : compulsory
fee : national park entrance fee, local guide fee, camping fee, insurance, vechicle permit (if drive own car)

This is our 1st day visit Endau Rompin National Park - Selai. The fall is quite high but less water flowing maybe due to less raining for the few days before our visiting. A shallow pool is there just good for us to dip inside. There's a side fall on your right of the main fall. No campsite around the fall.

3. Takah Tempaang (N2.44395 E103.23906)
location : endau rompin national park - selai, johor, malaysia
elevation : 196m
access : 4wd recommended, jungle trekking
distance : +/- 2.1km from lubok tapah campsite

This is the fall can be visited on the way or the way back from Takah Tinggi. It just a short walking distance along the Sg. Tempaang. Before seeing the main Takah Tempaang, some small cascades will welcome it's visitors at the doorstep. It has a deep enough pool for visitor to dive in.
