How to do Map Update?

Postby Picanroo » Tue Jan 24, 2012 12:37 pm

Hello,
Happy Lunar New Year. I'm new to the forum. Pardon my ignorance. I've a few questions.

1) I've bought the WayWay Q4331 about 6 months ago. My GPS is running on M3 GPS X6. How do I do a map and software update via download? I'm from Singapore and I don't think it's a good idea to drive to Malaysia just for the software update. :$$: The instructions in the M3GPS (http://support.m3gps.com/) is confusing me. :ko:

2) What are the free downloads availabe to my device?

3) Is there any Australia maps in the forum?

I will need guidance. Really appreciate all the help from the good people here. :peace:

:tq: :tq:

so is the word out from Eastgear? z880 is a useless piece of GPS from now on?

For those with z880, do not ditch the hardware yet.
It is still usable as I have managed to run it in x8.5 with the new maps over the sd-card.
will test further if it is stable / accurate in the z880 body.
Have a happy CNY!

I agree with sHawTY. The forum is not difficult to navigate once you know how it is arranged... [clue: Board index » Downloads » Free Public Downloads » ...]

I am planning to bring in my R6600 for an update to 8.5. Since I am coming from north johore, can I know:
1. what do I need to bring along, aside from my device?
2. how long the upgrade will take (I will only be in KL for 2 days)?
3. can I courier the device to M3 for an upgrade and request they courier back once completed?

Thanks.
