Lata Kijang & Kg Chennah

Postby divemuster » Mon Feb 16, 2009 4:08 pm

Noticed that this track to the waterfall is disjointed and incomplete.

Pls include POIs for the kampungs in the vacinity:
N3.08853 E102.07603 <- Kg. Chennah
N3.14669 E102.02017 <- Kg. Esok
N3.12371 E101.95105 <- Kg. Genting Peras
N3.08189 E102.03968 <- Kg. Kongkoi
N3.18727 E101.98199 <- Kg. London
N3.05746 E102.11223 <- Kg. Temelang
N3.16142 E101.99411 <- Kg. Tohor

Pls upgrade the trail in from Kg. Tohor to Lata Kijang waterfall to road. Some parts of the road are actually tarred and can be accessed by sedan now but beware of the clearance to get over the unpaved road sections. I saw a Kancil and a Nissan 130Y going in! (Not recommended though).

Also included an alternative road in (marked in file as "alternative road") that bypasses Kg. Chennah. Again this is best taken with a 4x4. Lots of potholes and wornout sections.

You may also want to correct the description at N3.22708 E102.01258 from "G.Besar Hantu Summit" to "Gn Hantu Besar Summit" and perhaps describe the existing trail in the map to "Trail to Gn Hantu Besar".

:good: :tq: Updated v0.41

For Kg. Tohor to Lata Kijang waterfall I upgrade to "Alleyway".

For Alternative road I name the road "Alternative 4x4 off Road".

Please let if unsuitable for the road.
Thank you very for info. =D>

Just visit lata kijang last fri, the scenery is WONDERFUL ! Come back with lots of nice pics.

Pls change the road class (Kpg. Chennah to Kpg. Tohor, N3.09585 E102.06973 to N3.16299 E101.99357) to Alley. This road is a narrow kampung road, have to giveway to incoming traffic. road condition is not very good, lot of deep potholes. The road is best taken with 4x4, althought my poor satria GTI with full loaded still survived up to the Kpg. Tohor...   definitely no no to low chassis sedan [-X

When i went there in Feb09, there was a tree fallen on the road blocking vehicle traffic the last 200 meters to the waterfall. Has that been cleared?

there's no fallen log blocked our way. 4x4 can all the way to the waterfall now.
