I have a few fakies from China, Frank Muller Crazy Hour, Rolex Submariner, Panerai Luminor.

The fake Frank Muller definitely cannot pass.

The Rolex Submariner and Panerai Liminor were of very good finishing, even the weight was accurate.

My friend who owned a real submariner, couldn't differentiate between the two unless in the hands of an expert. They are minute differences, like the pointed edge of the hands. The Submariner lasted about 3 years and couldn't work anymore. The Panerai is still working but the self winding movement endurance seem to have degraded, it can only last less than 6 hrs.

I treat them like the real stuff, like go swimming and sailing with them. :nutz:

That's absolutely true....Authenticity crowns the Pride.... you can either afford it or you just simply CAN'T!

Compromise your pride by disregarding exposure associated with fakes...? Well, you then know where you bow & rest mainly on.... :tease:

Hi Bros,

I guess my first message was a little wrongly-worded. I am looking for China-made tourbillon but not fakes. I think there are some which are copies of the real European-made tourbillons but there should be some which are original Chinese-design. Looking at the link in my first message, I do not think that all the China-made tourbillons are copies of the original European designs.

I am looking for tourbillon as they have interesting mechanical movements. Reading through the websites, it seemed that China is designing some good tourbillon mechanism. Just would like to check out if anyone is familiar with these China-made tourbillon as they are so much cheaper. I am not looking for fakes but more for a good quality China-made tourbillon. I just do not know what are the more popular makes so seeking some advice from watch fans.

This is a good guy!

They are usually chinese-made Seagull movements. Level of finishing depends on who's watches they get put into.

But his stocks are slow to replenish...

Some of the prices are really what the market will bear... Don't ask me if they really ever get sold at such prices. Sheesh! :nutz:

Based in Singapore and has outlets in KL. Same chinese tourbillon movements but cased and re-finished in Russia. Real aftersales service and technical backup so no uncertainty and worries. But at an almost ridiculous premium... :(

Someday, it will be no surprise to have China producing authentic timepieces as well... and if they charge accordingly for what they are worth coupled to their craftsmanship added, a China-made watch will be the next authentic thing to go for....

And don't forget it was never officially or publicly refuted by Franck Muller that at that time when the principle founder of Franck Muller left the atelier, it was because it was uncovered by him that his co-founder had been secretly using russian movements(or parts of) in lower-end watches; which still cost at least S$10,000 a pop. And I don't generally place plain vanilla ruskie movements that high on the finesse or haute-horological charts.

http://www.trade-247.com/64.html - Read last paragraph.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/0 ... 075340.htm

For research? If one produces really high-end time-pieces, wouldn't one research his peers or contemporaries or those who are deemed or held in higher esteem than oneself?

Bull-crap...

So grab them Seagull twin-barrelled ST82 Tourbillons while they are still at pre-craze bargain prices!
