The best price quoted for the D7000 with Kit 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens is RM4500.00 with 8Gb SDHC and bag. No delivery date commitment.... #-o

It is very tough choice to choose between the D300s and D7000. To make matter worst one dealer offered me RM4600.00 for the D300s with the same kit (Nikkor 18-105mm VR Lens). The guy at Camera Planet offered it @RM4500.00 with one year Nikon warranty and +RM100 for a 2 years Camera Planet warranty.

If you are comparing the D90 with the D7000 then the decision would be much easier except for price. I chose the D7000 for two things over the D300s, the Expeed 2 operating system and Full 1080HD movies. Hope my decision is right. May I know what factor/s make you select the D7000?

Bro SB, I need to finish reading the 15mm thick manual 1st to decide if I qualified for the job...

Bro moeyhc,

Never own a DSLR b4 and the one I have the luxury of using before is the Seagull SLR which belongs to my Dad. Only own a Sony Compact Camera as of now.

Some of my friends advise me to spent more on lens and accessories rather than getting the D7000 at that price. But I wants the lastest as I do not wants to spent further when there is a need for the inbuilt functions sure as recording Full HD movies and dual memory slots etc. More or less I too hope my decision is right.

Going to sell off my Panasonic Pro AG-DVC30 3-CCD MiniDV Camcorder w/16x Optical Zoom which I bought for RM9000+ plus accessories. This was when I was a part-time Wedding Videographer. Not sure how much I will be getting back for this to fund the D7000 additional lens. O:)

Bro sunn,

Me too first time DSLR user but with prior ownership of Yashica FX and Minolta Dynax SLR. To me accessories are add on that makes life interesting... you still need a decent "base" to built your quality. Buying all those wonderful lenses and finding the camera sensor noise too high for your liking will spoil all the fun.... So, it is painful one time... enjoy many times... The D7000 is rate for ISO 100 to 6400 and I find it is still good at 3200... will post some shots when I set it up properly.

Pssst.... your camcorder got Full HD or not?... the D7000 got... some more can auto focus during shooting.....shhhhh....
