Hi all,
I'm Azhar, my callsign is 9W2USB.
I'm just obtaining my B Licence this year. Frankly speaking, the exam is relatively 'not that tough' if you really focused on it. Do concentrate on the first 50 questions on SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) & Amateur Radio Regulation. The next 50 will be on the technical part such as basic electric, electronics, basic electronic circuits, propagations, receiver, tranceiver, antenna, da da da & some calculations! If your background is anything to do with electronics, I'm sure all the above will come in handy.
The passing marks is 51% and above. If you are don't have any electronic background, it is OK. Attending class will guide you to do the right thing until the exam day (and this is really works for me!). Many Amateur Radio Club like MARES, MARTS, JASRA, da da does provide this 'extra-curricular' to help members/ non-members obtaining their licences.
I'm targetting for my A Licence next year (upon completion of 1 year in B Licence). Anybody interested in Morse Code training, I will be more than happy to assist. Currently I'm practicing for my speed sending: 17wpm, receiving 15wpm
73,
'riding the perfect storm...'
