Looking for Senior GPS user in Lahad Datu

I'm a newbie (as in never do any mapping before)

I'm thinking of looking for some GPS user here to start a mapping group....
If there is a mapping group in LDU exist..... please kindly link me to their group....

I'm currently equiped with a Garmin mobile XT with a HTC Touch Pro as my gps.

and using GPSGate as a software link to my pc (i can successful link it to Google earth on my PC).

But the rest.... i have no idea what to do.....

For your GPSGate, under Tools > Output,

add Recorder (Interval 3600s) / ....

This should output 1-second interval tracks in NMEA format, output to a folder (typically "Storage Card\GPSGate"). Recommend to save a new file for every hour.

You can later take your NMEA tracks and convert to GDB format which is readable by MapSource, the main program we use here for track submissions.

i previously stored some track and location info in gramin xt....
how can i export those so that i can upload it to your guys

BTW i'll start using the direct export feature in GPS gate.... then leave the other to your guys later....

here is a rough additional tracks for LDU outskirts....

i need some one to do some map clean up...

i still have lots of question about map source... i still learning from the forum....

i think i'll start mapping out those missing street first....

then only i'll proceed to adding LDU landmarks....

:good: . Have you tried what bro tympg has suggested? It should give you a 1-second tracklog. BTW, it is not too difficult to edit and clean up the map. You should try it...
