Garmin GDR10 - PC Tool
My GDR10 came as part of the 2575RLM package. The software included in the microSD is the Garmin Driving Recorder PC Tool, software version 2.5.0.0.
I wanted to capture a frame of the AVI, so I clicked the camera icon (top-right corner) which is the Screenshot button. It said it saved the JPG file in the MyPictures/Garmin folder. True enough it was saved there, with a datestamp as its filename.
However, I cannot open it with any of my browsers/editors. The file size is only 256 bytes, and I suppose it only saved the header.
Is this the most recent release or is there an updated one?

The PC Tool's 'screenshot' works! It CAN capture the frame of the AVI file. What I did wrong earlier was to pause the movie, then took the screenshot. When I did that, only the header was saved. I did what I did because I wanted to save one particular frame when there was a lightning strike. To capture lightning on JPG is something.
To save the AVI frame as a JPG file, you need to click the screenshot button while the movie is playing, not when it is during a pause.

Re: Garmin GDR10 Driving Recorder
Anyone knows where I can purchase a 1.5m+ micro USB extension for the GDR10 in PJ/KL? I'd like to split the camera from the 2575R.
I found a GDR kit (holder + 2.5m cable) here: http://global.pchome.com.tw/english/?m= ... Q0S&tm=e#a Unfortunately, it is too expensive...
