WOW!

How do you know which pin is connect to which pin? From the datasheet i read the pin assignment. But couldnt figure out the actual pin in the gps module picture.

And since the GPS module has built in RS232, isn't it means that you could solder the 9 pin connector pin 2,3,5 directly into the GPS chip?

I notice the GPS are basically base on two module which is bluetooth module(cannot identify) and GPS module(EB712)
The UART signal from the GPS module are ported to the serial interface.
It use the the serial port cut from the old Astro Decoder's provide by Gerkeng. :good:

Wow, Good Job
I just know now, that's why i cannot found serial port in Old astro

and here the NMEA protocol UART signal that i've using to my miniGPS skin program

The triangle on the GPS module indicate that the first pin that match on datasheet.

You are right, at very first try we get the serial connected directly to the gps module and the output is something like "!@#%%$^& ^%$^&$^& ^&%*%"

Then Grekeng found that the the gps module's serial signal was not strong enough then he use the serial board on astro decoder to convert it.
