Assuming you bought mapsource version, use mapsource to transfer to your SD card /garmin subdirectory. The final map file after transfer will be gmapsupp.img

Store them in separate SD card. You will not use them simultaneously.

I believe that 205W may not have sufficient main memory to handle the Aussie and / or USA map.

Garmin Nuvi 200, 600, 700 series + nuvifone G60
Internal memory (the device itself) - gmapoem.img, gmapprom.img, gmapprom1.img, gmapsupp.img
SD or microSD card - gmapsupp.img

Garmin Nuvi 300 series
gmapoem.img, gmapprom.img, gmapprom1.img, gmapsupp.img

GPSMAP 60 & 76 series, Colorado & Oregon
gmapsupp.img

Garmin Que
gmapsupp.img

Garmin MobileXT
gmapsupp.img, gmapsup2.img
Got a Nuvi 1350 and the best part you can put in as many map and in what ever name in the Map directory in the main memory which is to limit 2GB.

Got Thailand.img, Indonesia.img, China.img and MFM20100118.img in it now.

You can also do the same with your SD card and the limit is the size of your SD card.

But every map of the mapset will have a same name, how to fix it?

When you combined maps, all the maps will be compiled into one map file name gmapsupp.img. transfer the file and the map will be visible in Garmin device. Caution that your device has sufficient memory to handle the map size.
