Pls advice. Thanks Bro. :tq: :tq:

Looks like your Nuvi is already set to alert with installed Custom POIs. When you say, no alert at all, are you certain that the area you passed is marked with proximity alert information? If it's a speed limit alert, if your speed is way too low below the limit, the alert would not have triggered.

Hi Dvpro,

Previously when I pass by a sharp bend (90degree), there is an alert sound. This afternoon pass by the same place on my way home. the icon is there but no sound???

:-? :-?

thanks

Hi Dvpro,

Even 1 Km before speed trap - no ding dong?? :-? :-?
using the computer to check the SD and Nuvi - POI , all the 9 files (WAV) is in it. Do not know why no alert sound. The icon is shown. The grey speed trap on the top left was missing??

Pls advice. Thanks

So the proximity alert is working, only no sound. I'd suggest you to reinstall with option for GMXT, at least when there is no audio embedded, you would get the beep sound.

I have a hearing problem on beep. I can only detect polymorph sound. All beeping sound like the early days phone is blank!!!

Thanks

This question might sound silly, but did you mute your Nuvi, ie. are other voice prompts audible? Anyway, to verify whether your Nuvi will give audio alert correctly (assuming correct settings are already set in Nuvi), reinstall with GMXT version, no Wav, so default beep is used instead.

Hi Dvpro,

An audible sound is heard when switching on the Nuvi. The mute button is not tick.

During the 1st installation CPOI 2.01, everything is OK. Upon updating to V 2.03, the sound is gone?

Pls advice
Thanks

You try first with cPOIs meant for GMXT (no WAV/MP3).

Simulating a route which bypasses the cPOI (with proximity alert) is good enough to verify if it's working.
