MFM-Garmin Map (cGPSmapper) Installation Step-by-Step Guide

Erm,sorry for not explain it in details ~ i have followed all the instruction given by the installation guide and i have copied into my device of folder named Garmin i.e. F:\Garmin\MFM and i'm using MFM map generator and not using mapsource~after the text box saying process completed has shown up and then i tried 2 find MFM maps in myMaps,it doesn't exist~ why is it like this? help me please and thanks!!!

If you have created gmapsupp.img, put this file into Drive:\Garmin folder;
or
If you have renamed the file to MFM, put in Drive:\Map folder

Hi there

I have a Nuvi 1200 (purchased in SIngapore) which came with preloaded MFM and SLA map for Malaysia and Singapore as well as the USA.
After updating the OP-SW from the Garmin webpage my maps seem to be gone.
Now I try to reinstall the latest Malaysia and Singapore maps via my MAC > how do I have to go about to get the maps and be able t install them via my MAC?

Currently, MFM Garmin maps is ONLY install via PC, not MAC version available. You might want to ask your friend to download it and install in their machine, and copy the file over.

Any idea how to upload MFM map into Garmin Nuvi 40?
I tried copy the gmapsupp.map into
i) x:\Garmin -> no luck.
ii) copied into x:\Garmin\.System -> no luck.
iii)copied into root, x:\ -> no luck

Note: I manage to search it from pcng post.
Create folder name 'Map' and copied gmapsupp.map into it and it works!

hi, I'm using nuvi 1350. followed the 1st thread till end of the installation. copy the gmapsupp.map into the device's GARMIN folder. but nothing happen, it showed:

Mfm Poi 110307
Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2010.40
City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2010.30

I downloaded the 120116 files.

please let me know if I already make any mistake as I already followed thru at least 3 times with the tutorial of the 1st thread and still same result. TQVM for any reply

Make a 'Map' folder on your SD card, then put the gmapsupp.img file there.

I do have the same problem, but after I disable the Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2010.40 click & reinstalled, the problem is solved.
BTW i installed directly in internal ram, without insert any uSD.

Newer generation Nuvi does not read map file installed in Main Memory / garmin directory

It will only read map files in following directories

Main Memory /system ( pre-loaded maps restricted to Garmin defined map file names only )
Main Memory /map ( ability to rename Garmin map file to any user chosen file name )
SD card /garmin directory ( gmapsupp.img file name only )
SD card /map directory ( ability to rename Garmin map file to any user chosen file name )
