Custom POI icon still not appear on 765

Noted.
Tested in 1350, same problem.
No solution yet at this moment.

As Thailand map is building up, the map is getting bigger and bigger.

Since not all of us download Thailand map all the time or need to, maybe it should be split up, if possible.

You can always use Mapsource to exclude any map tiles you wish to leave out. BTW, it makes sense to present the map as whole (rather by sections) if the map of the neighboring country/section is connected by routable roads.

Sorry, I meant as in server loads, if the map was able to split into SG/MY and Thailand, then maybe 80% of the people not interested in Thai map at the moment does not need to download the whole complete package, thus saving bandwidth.

It may not be much at the moment, but as Thai map grows, it might add another 100MB to the downloads.

For what's its worth, I think it's not feasible to come up with separate packages each and every week, because I believe the admin is looking for simplicity in every release. For instance we currently have a single EXE to install maps in Mapsource and device. But at the end of the day, that's not for me to decide, so let's see what the admin would say about this.

Yes, it can.

But GMXT suffers from gps lag on most smartphones where the gps postion on map is behind by at least 20 meters from the actual position and you tend to miss turns as a result.

Just downloaded and installed 100301 update on my Nuvi 765, all roads does not appear in Singapore map, but no problem with the Nuvi 205.

Thanks to advise how to rectify this issue.

It's a known issue, and the fix will be available soon. Please check back this topic in a little while.

POI Custom Icons are coming out OK on the GMXT.
Missing roads in Mapsource & Basecamp as earlier reported due to the polygons issue; but no effect on the visual output on GMXT. Will try later with Dakota; but i doubt that should have problems.

Noticed that there's no mention or documentation/explanation on what the "Miscellanous Business POI" is in the GMAPSUPP creation. Could this be the missing link in some of the nuvi's not showing POI custom icons?

Just to share some stats on the SG Mirror traffic, for those who are interested to know.

In the month of Feb 2010, there is a sudden huge surge of traffic originating from China that shot up to 76.53GB, up from the usual <3.0GB. As a result, the total bandwidth volume hit sky rocket high at 186.97GB. That's 2.5 times higher than normal months. The traffic originating from Singapore and Malaysia are slightly up by about 20%, compared to the usual of 30-50GB across the months in 2009.

Guess that means there is possibility an increase in interest to MFM map.
