for the contribution.
Due to the bi-directional nature of wide radius proximity points, you will be alerted both ways even though the targeted traffic is from one direction.

Travelling along Ipoh-KL PLUS highway, when reaching waypoint A, B & C, my GPS promt
"Speed Trap zone, speed limit 80km/h", the actual speed limit here is 110km/h.
(Not very sure if the GPS did pick up speed limit signal from surrounding 80km/h roads near PLUS)
for the correction.

CCTV in LDP - EFFECTIVE 17/3/2009
Please note that the LDP highway
speed limit will be monitored by CCTV.
The speed limit is 90 kmh
and if you go above that at 91 kmh, the camera
will auto record and pass it to the police. The few identified areas where the
CCTV is monitoring are as follows:
1) on the overhead pedestrian bridge in front of Kelana Jaya LRTstation, monitoring the straight stretch
2) Somewhere near Western Digital (CCTV might be on Western Digital), monitoring the straight stretch in front of the Kelana Jaya Seafood
3) On IKEA, Monitoring straight stretch in front of IKEA and 1 Utama
4) On the double overhead bridge, monitoring the stretch between the Puchong toll and the Federal Highway turnoff.
5) In the tunnel near SS2 (please note that the speed limit is 60kmh, (not 90 kmh)
Please let your friends know to be cautious.
I get this mail last year, and 2day i get the same mail again, but it stated effective this month. Is this truth? I checked the latest speedtrap POI, does not show any of them.

Bro Chew,
That email is an urban legend, please disregard it. The CCTVs are there to monitor the traffic flow and accidents, not record vehicle speeds. There's no radar or laser trap gun attached to the poles and the LDP staff has no authority to act on behalf of the traffic police.

Bro Nazri,
Did you actually see a policeman with a radar gun? Are they dressed in blue uniform or white, as worn by traffic police? Why would the police put up a 30 km/h trap within an industrial zone is beyond me.

Bros I wanna ask...
Is it alright to provide feedback for speedtraps that are non existent anymore? Because I notice there are quite a lot of speed trap near my housing area that as long as I lived and I travel daily there has never been a speed trap post there and also there is no 'had laju' sign there
