"None found" shown when checking Custom POIs

Postby pancshan » Tue Jul 28, 2009 11:09 pm

After I installed MFM-CPOIv203 to my Garmin Mobile XT
on Nokia N97, when I try to access
Where To- Extras - Custom POIs it's shown
" None found. For details, please visit http://www.garmin.com/extras ".

I had confirmed all POIs is in Garmin/POI directory.

Is this mean my POI function won't work? How to confirm
POI is working?

Please help me to overcome this problem.

Thank you.

Are the above POIs in *.GPI format? If they are, it should work.

How about \Garmin\Poi folder? Although it can be in main memory or data card, try placing it in data card. And check in GMXT, Tools > Manage My Data > Custom POI Sets. Are the GPI files listed?

hi woodsuksai,
I am having the phone and same problem and seem is only happening to N86.
Refer to my earlier post: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3040&p=71095#p71095

I have the postal code solution but not the CPOI yet... still searching and will reply here if I found any. :)

Thanks.

hi woodsuksai,

N86 will detect the internal phone memory as another mass storage.

Try install Garmin in the internal mass storage (phone storage)

I thinks this problem caused by the incorrect path in the POI file.gpi,

normally Nokia phone will on detect 1 mass storage(memory card) when we connect to the PC. But this different in N86

It will detect 2 mass storage(internal phone storage) and memory card storage..

I hope this will solve your problem.. \:D/
