I want to provide some feedbacks related to Perak Map.

I went to Taiping, Matang and Sepetang yesterday, but Malfree maps couuld not show the map after I had entered Perak border. Even I tried to search for Taiping Zoo, Light House Restaurant (famous for fish porridge) I got nothing. I quickly enabled back Malsing Map 2.30 and Malsing 2.30 Map was OK. For your information, I used Malfree Map 1.24. I also tested a few new POI I saved and tested on latest Malfree map 1.25, the problem still the same. My Garmin is Nuvii 660.

This only happen to the map that operate inside Garmin Nuvii. If using Mapsoure it is OK. Do you guys encounter this problem?

Notes: Penang, Butterwoth , Sungai Petani, Jawi are OK. These are the places road I tested so far.

If you have both MFM & MSM maps in 1 device, it will has this issue due to same map ID even if you had unchecked MSM in the device. You may remove MSM from your device and try again... - OngCC

I was in Cameron Highlands yesterday and had some problems with routing in v1.24 using MapSource and found that the problem still exists in v1.25. As the problem is with the road (Route 59) linking Ringlet and Tapah, I am reporting this in the Perak thread.

As you can see from the attached map, instead of routing me directly from Ringlet to Tapah on Route 59 which is only around 45 Km, I was routed via Brinchang, Simpang Pulai then Tapah which is 135 Km long. The same problem existed in my GPSr but while driving the actual route from Ringlet to Tapah along Route 59, the road was properly displayed on the unit. Maybe there was a break in the road somewhere that I did not notice.

If anyone of you need to use Route 59, please set your device to go by shorter distance. Route 59 is set to low priority by default due to it is much more winding & narrow than the new Spg Pulai - Cameron Hwy. - OngCC
