i placed my nuvi at the windscreen... is there any effect to the unit if it exposed to the sunlight while driving?? i didn't tint my windscreen...

That's where I mount my PND's too, but I remove them when I reach my destination. If the sun is too bright, I remove the mount too.

You can also DIY a sunshade using cardboard and glue (which I did some time ago)... to keep the glare off while driving.

dont worry laa my friend, sure nuvi r tough one, i use every day for several years now noooo prob, if u have blank screen and prob because of the sun then u r the 1st one i herd :lol:

Never worry about it... I often "fry" my nuvi under the sun (usually cannot find shaded parking) ... and it is still working..... (Touchwood)

roger for all the infos... i removed my nuvi when i reached my destination... what i worry was, 5-6 hrs exposed to the sunlight while driving could damaged my nuvi... if confirm my nuvi will not damage, then my worries are gone... \:D/
