From what I look at it, they wont catch up in near future.
For many months, the Lane assist that they wanted to roll out, they are not able to.
Garmin apparently not helping them....

Re: Malfreemaps vs MalsingMaps
Don't assume that they copy MFM maps. Just comparing the maps is enough to hi-light the missing roads for a tracker to do a drive. Identifying areas with missing data can be the hardest part of mapping

煮豆燃豆萁,豆在釜中泣。本是同根生,相煎何太急?
From the pot of frying beans on a beanstalk fire,
Came weeping from the beans in the pot of dire.
Since the beans and stalk were derived from the same root of distinction,
Why the urgency in a rush for mutual destruction?

I would like to disagree with Bro Dayojah. Knowing which part of the map by comparing with other maps is probably the easiest part. The hardest part is getting trackers and mappers to volunteer their own time and effort to track and map the areas. This is especially so in rural areas and kampungs.

I agree with bro Simseair...
To be a volunteer are the hardest part as we are deal in our 1st job & commitment and this mapping & tracking are part of our free time and as a hobby. Just hoping that more volunteer will raise up in our community.
