The List of Irrelevant Information

Came across this article in The NST. Writer was talking about some books on incredible world of facts and figures. So I thought why not do something like this for our over-worked moderators, mappers and polygon mappers to have a good laugh once in while.

The list is of curious, useful & useless information, facts, figures, trivia, ancedotes, quotes and others. Members can add on to this list. So lets go:- (list extracted from article)

1. Ancient Romans use their urine as hair treatment.
2. The world's most expensive coffee - Kopi Luwak - is made from the droppings of a particular marsupial.
3. 500 Americans freeze to death every year
4. Formula One legendary driver Ayrton Senna last words before he was killed when his car hit a wall during practice " the car seems ok"
5. At least 30 films have imitated the title of Bruce Willis " Die Hard" And 250 more in the pornographic moviedom.
6. A third of the world is at war
7. Cars kill two people every minute
8. Americans spend RM170 billion on pornography every year
9. Sup gearbox is made from cow or sheep bones
10. Soup torpedo main ingredient is the penis of a bull
11. The most popular Manglish suffixes? Lah & nah
12. The top 3 Malaysian brands:- Maybank, Public Bank & CIMB
13. In 2007, there were 131,086 Muslim marriages and 20,529 divorces; for non-Muslim 55,724 marriages and 4,335 divorces
14. In 2008, 543,122 motorcycles & 537,092 cars were registered. In all a total of 1,156,063 vehicles were registered but there were a total of 17,791,901 vehicles on the road.
15. In 1960, there were 24 public institutions of higher learning and none for the private sector. In 2007, there were 67 public and 506 private ones.
16. In-famous subtitles in movies 01: The Terminator:- Hasta la vista, baby!, translation / subtitle:- pemandangan asta lah baby :-? :-?
17. In-famous subtitles in movies no 02: Rambo First Blood:- Bring in the choppers (helicopter); translation / subtitle:- bawa kapak (give me the axe)
18. In-famous subtitles: (can't remember from where):- Famous actor giving interview, "My fans are very important to me"; translation:- kipas saya sangat penting

Sorry Bro Tuah..... of course everyone can read and can also contribute... I mentioned the moderators, mappers and ploygon mappers, nanti takut dia tersalah delete no of post, nanti abang tuah punya post go from 3,110 posts to "kosong" :-' :-' Also itu mapper nanti tersalah masuk jalan raya dalam sungai... polygon mapper? tersalah pilih color pulak....

Contributors also work hard - masuk hutan, masuk kampungs, naik bukit, turun bukit, queue in the traffic jam, tracking day & night in the rain, hot sunlight, etc, etc.. - also need to have a good laugh :peace: BTW, no need to apologize, just :tease: you :peace:

Actually #2 is wrong. Kopi Luwak is made from coffee beans that were excreted undigested by the Asian Palm Civet.

19. Infamous subtitles in movie 03 (cant remember which): The commander yelled "Fire" to his cannons, and the subtitle read "Api"
20 Infamous subtitles in movies 04 (cant remember which): "I'll give you a ring tomorrow" : "Saya beri awak cincin esok".
