Don't bother to visit the Gurney Drive hawker centre (near roundabout). Awful food, expensive and lousy service. We (5 couples) were there a couple of weeks ago and were totally disappointed.

We wanted to take the fried kway teow (many customers surrounding the stall; disorganised as everyone shouting their orders) and after many attempts to place our orders, had to wait for 20 mins to get our food. Nothing great about this stall's kway teow (no where as good as the 2 sisters' fried kway teow).

We also ordered 2 plates of cuttle fish with kangkung) and it was delivered with only 4 sets of chopsticks; we requested for more but were impolitely told off. And each plate was RM10! Sauce was bland.

Popiah was wet. Similarly disappointed with the others that we ordered.

The only good service we got was from the stall that sold us the drinks (we also found out after being seated that we had to order our drinks from that particular stall - territory ownership). He was the guy who helped us ordered the char kway teow, and also gave us additional chop sticks. We were also surprised that beer was only served in cans; bottles were disallowed due to the occasional gang fights!

After about 45 mins we walked away from the hawker centre terribly disappointed; we were hoping to spend 2-3 hrs there to enjoy the food and hawker centre atmosphere.

Try SuperTanker Food Centre ( N5 20.580 E100 17.712 ) opposibe Jubilee Wet Market. super crowded in morning with lots of nice food. Sit down and explore the food stalls there and sample a variety from each stall. The busy market also got lots of stalls selling various items. Best to go in the mornings ....
