Base on my experience, third party S.Korea maps are non existence and even if you can find are not good / detail enough for navigation.
The best is still the one from "Garmin" Korea. Very detail. Only problem is you have to buy it there pre-loaded in Nuvi and they also do not entertain international orders ... ( from what I know couple years ago )

Guess you have a point there Bro silverbeauty (totally agree), but surprisingly, in most European Nations, third party maps are equally good, viz., Australia, UK, and even France in terms of POIs and routes, just to cite a few; but I can't vouch much for Far Eastern nations as far as POIs are concerned. However, route-wise, I think they appear to be okay.
BTW, just curious, the "Garmin" Korea map - is it in the Korean or English languge? Maybe there is a "Language" icon to switch to...? I'm not sure.
