If you are referring to Garmin China, I learn that China Garmin unit has offset to suit Garmin China Map. If you were to bring in to Malaysia here to be use, it won't be accurate to be use to navigate.

Others China PND, not that sure about it.

Cheers!

Dear All Bro,

In my information is,
1) Garnin China can use China map (No Offset) And also Can use others
Overseas Map.

2) Garmin US or Malaysia Can't use China Map (Offset) Only can use Overseas
Map like Malaysia and US or others,

This is True ? [-o<

Mine Taiwan born Nuvi and has capability to compensate for offsets when used in Mainland China.

Been using in our region with no issues.

In Shanghai, when I last check at a Garmin reseller, the price of a 765 was much much more vs buying in Singapore.

In end, bought one from Taiwan, much cheaper.

When using China map, do you need to "enable" offset compensation? When using other maps such as MFM, do you need to "disable" offset compensation? Or is this thing automatic and the device will automatically recognise the map region and decided whether need to offset or not?

Since many Nuvis are born in Taiwan, and there are also taiwan market sets, do you need to specifically look for those sets which indicated can use in Mainland China? Or are all Taiwan market sets capable of use in China?

Auto is the operative word. I believe built into firmware as I never do anything when using in either countries. Get satellite lock and use ....
