MFM Garmin Vehicle - completed

Postby Nicholas » Fri Aug 21, 2009 3:51 pm

I'm just doing this for fun. What do you guys think of a MFM vehicle like this? (see pic below)
I'm using MFM logo in 3D, with garmin's triangle logo.

Feedback welcome. O:)

Hi AJ, you can try this online converter: http://techmods.net/nuvi/
or download this Garmin Vehicle Utility by Ash10: http://www.sendspace.com/file/b6zcg6

Note: If you have a 3D model that can be rotated and screengrabbed in a 3D software, that would be a perfect graphic base for creating SRF.
I take everything in moderation, including moderation.

The guys above are really helpful aren't they? That's why I love MFM and its community. O:)

You can start with taking a garmin vehicle SRF, and turning it into PNG using this site http://www.techmods.net/nuvi/, where you can open with Photoshop or a similar program, and you will get the idea of how to do it. You can even take photos of your car and put them in. Takes a lot of hardwork though! One problem I faced is that, photoshop's png when convert to SRF, there is some corruption, so I used this freeware editor called Gimp for final png to convert. http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

You can try the vehicle below in your garmin, but I've only done the "point forward" view for testing.
