Hi Sifu2,
Did Malfreemaps support 3D building feature in Garmin Nuvi 765 Sg/My localised set? :-? :-k

Garmin 3D landmark map is independent of detailed maps. The 3D map overlays whatever map at the background.

I'm a little confused. So if I bought the unit and load it with MFM or whatever maps, I'm able to see 3D building views? Is Papago works the same too? TenQ! :tq:

Yes, as the 3D map is a separate transparent map with 3D images.

As for Papago, 3D landmark is built into the map, and MFM Papago map includes 3D buildings, courtesy of Papago.

So in this case, will I get the 3D building views frequently updated from Garmin? Do I need to pay for the update? Orherwise, I will just go for Papago. Any good suggestion? :tq:

Garmin does not offer official map updates for this region that frequently, let alone a 3D landmark map.

ngkmlk wrote:Do I need to pay for the update?

Based on other map updates for this region, no.

I don't think it's a good idea deciding on which one to buy just based on 3D landmark/building feature. I'd suggest you to search the forum for recommendations and comparisons, a good topic to start with is: Papago vs Garmin
