I bought it when it had just been launched in SG and was on offer at S$499. Good price, considering that Garmin in the US is selling for US$399 and the implied exchange rate is 1.25 against the S$.

50 hours of battery life is just enough for normal hiking or tracking usage.

This device has a small memory about 20Mb thus if you want to use MfM map you have to use Garmin basecamp to load individual map tiles needed for location you are going to.
