I dont realy bother which maps they want to recommend. We dont gain anything from that, except label. Lets just go back to our point of being here (at least for me). We are just GPS enthusiasts, this is our hobby (a very useful & beneficial one), and we are LUCKY we have 2 forums that can accomodate our interests, but with a slightly different philosophy, but both are comminuty based. Look at it as choices not "geng" which is to me like we want to create barrier/enemy.

MSM now is the official partner for Garmin but what they gain actually except free copy of compiler? What the hardworking mappers & contributors got? At least a free garmin unit for testing or tracking? NO? What? Look to me, we are just being taken advantage and they just want to use our comprehensive data for selling their products. We have to be a good user, choose which 1 YOU think better for you, not what is being recommended by some party.

Just be happy to see our contributions be useful to the community. You are encouraged to contribute to both MFM & MSM bcos we are all for community. If your contribution meets our quota, u get to see your name on MFM map which the other forum dont practice, thats the obvious different i can see

Agreed with bro shideen. Even though we don't have the latest features (yet), we still have the most details map in towns and kampungs! We can go anywhere we like without "sesat".

:tq: MFM.

Seems like those latest SLA map doesn't work with MFM map. Tried quite a few version of MFM map, SLA map just refuse to load so I switched to Jerome map 4.2 and it works very smoothly.

U can make it working by using Gmaptool... explore and learn the finer points of map structure 'reconstruction' using this excellent tool. If you own the legal copy of the map...it is your Rights to have continued usage of it... :D
