Is there a "bible" on which folders/files must be on GPS unit for it to work?

Example:
1) GPS can read the content of "gmapsupp.img" file and "POI" folder located in the SD card
2) GPS cannot read the content from "Vehicle" folder located in the SD card

I believe, the simple explanation for this is that typically, Maps and POIs undergo a far faster rate of change than other system related files. The Map and POI files (like other GPS) when purchased are delivered on memory cards (other than downloads) and in some cases, the files on the external memory cards are read into the GPS unit.

Vehicles and voice files are system files that undergo little changes and have to be put into the directly into the device.

i had download n save to storage card/garmin/vehicle ;but when i go to setting>map>vehicle; the file is not display for selection!

try put it in d device under vehicle folder.
