Mac Osx user and Gps.

For Mac users there is a huge disadvantage when it comes to using mfm maps and garmin gps.
Recently I found a work around method which might or might not have been discussed here.
To able to read mfm maps and able to load data from/to gps device here is what you need:

1. Base camp for mac
2. Communicator plugin for mac
http://www8.garmin.com/support/download ... sp?id=3739
3. Memory card with Mfm maps loaded.
4. Memory card reader.

Download and install item 1 & 2 into your mac.
Launch base camp.
Connect the momory card reader with mfm maps from memory card to your mac.
Wolah. Base camp will read mfm maps from memory card.

Isn't the downloaded map file a .exe file?

You will still need a windows machine... would be nice if the .img can be provided directly
