I've recently bought a WayWay with built-in Papago X8.5. Previously I was using Compasseo 370 with Agis software. Comparing both; while driving i tend to glance Papago more often for directions. Although i really appreciate the spoken details at times, it can be very confusing too.(btw,i using ENGLISH instead of TTL) One example; I'm driving along Bradell road going to Serangoon Central(NEX), in Barley road direction. Voice said "keep right and use the undergound lanes"(i like this, very informative). After the underground lanes, the voice instructs to keep right again. The keep left instruction came only at 300m before the junction. There are 3 lanes to the left to filter in this 300m distance. At peak hours, it's difficult to execute.
I understand building voice navigation is a very difficult task and do really appreciate the builders. If my two cents is worth, lane assist options can be set by driver? eg; in 1km, in 500m, in 300m, turn left. The "keep left" may sometimes be substituted in such case.
Regards,
Papago X8.5 - Lane Assist
