First you need cGPSmapper.exe to work with Gmaptool.exe..... you can't convert to gdb from img.. you can only convert routable map files (gmapsupp.img, gmapprom.img...etc) to display in Mapsource... here is how to do it:-

- Open Gmaptool
- In File click Add Files and import your *.img
- Goto Options and set the Directory where cGPSmappers.exe is located in your PC.
- Goto Spilt > Directory
- Select the Output directory your Output map will reside
- In the Create drop down menu select 'files for Mapsource'
- Tick and select 'Compile preview map'
- Enter a name for your Mapset in 'Mapset name'
- Click 'Split All'
- Goto the Output folder to find and run Install.bat - follow online instructions to enter Win registry for your new map.
- Check your Mapsource - if you have done everything correctly you'll see your new map.

Note:- download the latest version of the cGPSmappers.exe and Gmaptool.exe before starting to ensure compatibility. For Windows 7 users be sure to use the (x86) Install batch file.

Hope this helps.... I've not done this for quite some time now... a thousand apologies if there are errors... :prayer: ... Cheers!

Hi
I followed the steps to generate an image, but it seems that something is missing.
I started from an (address) searchable map. I took its image and generated a Mapsource project. Then I selected a country and generated a sub-image. With this sub-map loaded my Garmin is not able make an address search and it should be.
