Can you gain access to Nuvi's main memory?
If you are not able to access your Nuvi 1350 main memory,
take out the mSD Card and disable your anti-virus program.
Then plug in the USB cable.
Once you are able to access the main memory, delete the offending file(s).
Hope this works.

I am able to fix it thanks to my working USB.. Phew

But I still have no idea how to place the map.

Isn't it should be: Garmin Nuvi : Map : .img and POI

If I put it in my memory card : Garmin : Map : .img, POI and JCV?

Thanks for assistance

Bro, glad to hear that it works for you.

Do NOT put any map in the device's memory.
Use an external mSD Card. It's cheap.
In the mSDCard, create a folder and name it Map and store all your maps in it.
If you are using 1350, you can call your maps by any other name, eg, MFM Map.img, always maintaining the .img extension.
Then, in the same mSDCard, create a folder called Garmin. Put your JCV folder inside the Garmin folder.

Cheers

Hi Bro,

I still don't get it.

So what I should do are:
1- Remove Map folder from Garmin Nuvi itself
2- Create Map folder under memory card : I:Removeable Drive\Map
3- Create Garmin folder : I:Removeable Drive\Garmin\JCV

Is that correct?

Leave the Map folder alone in the device. Just delete the offending map; in this case, it would be the recently installed map

2- Create Map folder under memory card : I:Removeable Drive\Map
Yes, an external mSDCard.
Remember to check only one map you want to use, leaving the rest unchecked.

3- Create Garmin folder : I:Removeable Drive\Garmin\JCV
Yes.
Is that correct?

I did as your advice but then in my map there, it still shows only 1 map which is the default MSM NST.

Any advise?

I have put I:\Map\gmapsupp
I:\Garmin\JCV

My I represents my SD card

Or does the SD card has any special format such as NTSC or FAT to be able to read by 1350?

The configuration appears to be correct except that gmapsupp has no .img extension.
JCV folder should have a file called SgMyMFM.JCV

By the way, which map did you download -MFM-Garmin 120430 or the MFM-Garmin NT 2012.10.
If it is the latter, then you should also have the unlock key (.UNL) in Map folder.

I recently bought Nuvi 1350 and dled MFM from Garmin SG website. Now the problem is the map is installed in the internal memory of the device as I got no memory card. So how do I remove MFM and move it to the memory card?

Map should be in main memory/garmin under file name gmapsupp.img.
Move this file to sd card/garmin
