Postby keong8260 » Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:12 pm

Check this out :

Topcon GPS & Surveying Tool :

* Smallest, lightest RTK rover receiver
* 1cm RTK accuracy
* Dual-frequency, 72 channel GPS + GLONASS receiver
* Fastest receiver—100Hz
* Integrated cell phone (GSM, CDMA)
* 806MHz XScale Processor
* Bright, touch screen display
* Integrated camera & compass
* Windows® Mobile 6.1 Operating System
* Built-in Bluetooth® wireless technology and Wi-Fi® connectivity

Wah... 72 channel GPS... our normal handheld only got 12 channel max. The accuracy is up to 3 mm +-.
I heard from the saleman say that the unit c/w the handheld unit, antenna, etc (enough for us to become a licence surveyor) cost about RM70,000++ :shock:

Hi,

How nice it is to use GPS for surveying? Previously they have to use chains to measure the distance. Surveyors need the accuracy for their work. Otherwise, you and I will fight if there is a dispute over the longkang belonging to you or to me. It would be interesting if our GPS have the accuracy.
