I messed up my 255w

I did a garmin update via its launcher and i got
CN SG/MY NT2015.10-Malfree
CN SG/MY NT2015.10-MalSing


my mfm150413 is on external memory.

However I can't uncheck CN SG/MY NT2015.10-MalSing. its default turned on. If i want to use mfm 150413, it will run together with CN SG/MY NT2015.10-MalSing, thus overlapping occurs.

CN SG/MY NT2015.10-MalSing is named gmapprom1 in device memory.

What should I do so that I can uncheck this CN SG/MY NT2015.10-MalSing

gmapprom1.img - Garmin pre-programmed (preloaded) map. Back up this file before deleting or overwriting it.

i think it goes through as its a local set.
else i need to diy via the s/n validation part..

CN SG/MY NT2015.10-Malfree file name in system is gmapsupp, which is a typical file name for any map data.

assuming if i want to have garmin msm, garmin mfm in device memory, how to do it as external memory is already holding mfm150413?

Backup the file first. Then rename Gmapprom1.img to Gmapsupp.img and the gmapprom1.unl to gmapsupp.unl to see if you can uncheck.

If Gmapsupp.img is use for MfM then change it to Gmapprom.img.

Gmapsupp.img is termed as supplementary map hence may take lower priority in navigation. Hence,using this filename may allow you to uncheck it.

Let us know how it goes.

CN SG/MY NT2015.10-Malfree - device file name is gmapsupp.img and gmapsupp.unl
CN SG/MY NT2015.10-MalSing - device file name is gmapprom1.img and gmapprom1.unl

are u trying to ask me to swap their file priority around so that CN SG/MY NT2015.10-Malfree becomes Garmin pre-programmed (preloaded) map?

if so, doesn't that mean when CN SG/MY NT2015.10-Malfree becomes he 'unchecked-able' map data, even when i try to use MFM150413?

this is what is happening after I did a swap of file names. CN SG/MY NT2015.10-Malfree is now 'uncheckable' and it runs together with MFM150413. Search on any landmark, two similar match will appear

If Gmapprom1.img is the problem then don't use it. You can use Gmapprom.img to replace Gmapprom1.img

do u mean removing Gmapprom1.img from system completely?

You don't have to remove it. Just rename the map to Gmapprom.img.

i renamed Gmapprom1.img (the uncheckable CN SG/MY NT2015.10-Malfree after a file name switch) to Gmapprom.img, still i can't uncheck Gmapprom.img.
