Garmin 1350

Postby gpsnerd » Sun Apr 05, 2015 3:37 pm

while in navigation mode, i need to change to a location near to the intented point, how can i browse to the location i want and then set GO?

with my old 255w, i just touch screen while in navigation, it allows me to scroll around freely to set any new location i want, but seems with 1350, it will jump back to current location after a short while

took out my mothball 1350

Updated map and set unit to simulation mode

While navigating from point A to B

Touch screen. Using finger browse map and touch new POI

Unit will prompt you to set a new destination or add a via point

Never jump back to current location ..

Is this what you want ?

why u not using 1350?
btw, what i meantwas during active navigation between two points, but then i decide to detour to somewhere.

how to browse the map to add the new via point as i tried, it'll jump back to current position in a few seconds

I prefer my 3790 due to its ability to be more legible in bright sunlight.

On 1350 I usually stop navigation and then browse map. If I need to re-continue I can select original POI via "Recently Found" menu or select new POI and continue journey. Be safe, stop car and do changes and not while driving
